What is the AI Thumbnail Builder?

The AI Thumbnail Builder in the vidIQ extension allows creators to quickly and easily design eye-catching, professional thumbnails for their YouTube videos. With the help of AI, the tool analyzes your video content and generates thumbnail ideas that align with YouTube's best practices.

Steps to Use the AI Thumbnail Builder:

1. Generate Thumbnails:

To create and view the thumbnails, please click on "Get AI-generated thumbnails." Or, if you prefer a more hands-on approach, use the "Start from Frame" feature.

This allows you to pick a specific moment from your video playback to use as your thumbnail background. Play your video, pause at the frame you like, and hit Capture Frame. It’s a great way to highlight a specific moment or expression that stands out.

2. View the Generated Thumbnails:

The tool will generate three thumbnail options or a single one if you select a still from your video. You can pick the one you like or regenerate it by clicking on the refresh icon. Below each thumbnail, you’ll find a Tweak button allowing further customization.

3. Tweak the Thumbnails:

If you want to make edits, click Tweak under a thumbnail. This opens the Thumbnail Editor, where you can:

  • Edit Text: Adjust fonts, colors, brightness, and add outlines to make your text stand out.

  • Edit Images: Upload images, adjust their position and opacity, and remove backgrounds as needed.

Just so you know, you need first to click the text or image added to be able to edit it.

The AI Thumbnail Builder is designed to streamline the process of creating eye-catching thumbnails that drive clicks and engagement on YouTube. By leveraging the power of AI and customization options, you can produce professional-looking thumbnails in just a few clicks, saving time and enhancing the appeal of your videos.
